Welcome to Positive PlayTime!
Let's play, laugh, learn, and grow together.
"This course is life changing for parents and their children. I highly recommend it!"
~Positive PlayTime Parent
Positive PlayTime is part parenting class, part interactive playgroup.
We sing silly songs,
create art together,
jump around the room like animals,
and learn cutting-edge positive parenting tools
affirmed by the latest brain science.
Most importantly, we support one another to believe in ourselves.
And the power of parents everywhere to create a better world
by having more fun in our lives and raising children who thrive.

"Megan has been a great partner for our Library! Her Positive PlayTime program has been a huge success, with great feedback from participating parents. The Positive PlayTime program offers wonderful tools and tips for fostering and developing skills. Parents learn how they can have patient and gentle resolutions of potential conflicts with their children. Megan is a wonderful person to work with, and partnering with her allows our Library to offer a high quality, much appreciated program for our library families."
-Dan White, Director, Scappoose Public Library
"Positive Play Time program offers wonderful tools and tips for fostering and developing skills that turn potentially combative situations into opportunities for patient and gentle, mutually beneficial resolutions.... I highly recommend giving Megan’s program a try in your setting. I think your patrons will appreciate the opportunity to experience this positive way of handling those tough moments of parenting."
~ Sharon Trodler, Children's/Youth Services Librarian at Dunham Public Library
Locations that have hosted Positive PlayTime:
It’s so nice to have your (Megan's) positive energy around, I’ve heard lots of comments from other library staff that feel the same way. I really appreciate the way that Positive Play Time helps our library patrons feel like they are a community, and that they are in this parenting thing together. Also, I noticed that library staff come with their children to attend your program, which is a high compliment, considering that they are coming in to the library on their day off.
~ Jessica Miele, Murray Scholls Youth Librarian
"My entire outlook on how I approach situations has changed after attending Megan's classes. Before I knew that I wanted respectful, independent, ambitious children; but getting there seemed like nothing but arguing, stress, and challenges on a daily basis. Now I can see how to have control of a situation by letting my child have his voice heard and him using his independence by making the right choices; not because he's told, but because it's what he wants. Our stress level in the house has lowered significantly and we have very seldom amounts of frustrating days compared to before. A specific thing that has really helped us is when something needs to be done at a certain time (getting ready for school or bed) talking with my son about the order and things he'd like to do while getting ready, has helped so much. Before, we would spend 20 minute coaxing him and threatening to take toys away just to get dressed. Now we can have fun and get dressed all in a few minutes."
