one day i'm hanging laundry outside soaking up the sunshine the kids are outside all day and the next day it's halloween the holidays seem to start november 1st these days life gets busier by the minute this is the season to do lists grow the season that creates more demands unless we consciously slow down focusing only on what we love most letting the rest go so we can enjoy which is why i created the fall magic crafting guide for you to slow down + enjoy the season with your children it's also the season to make our lives easier with clear expectations both with ourselves + our children like getting clear on your family's halloween candy expectations my son + i used curiosity questions to make our halloween candy plan i asked him: * "what's our plan for halloween candy this year?' and * "how many pieces do you want to eat before you trade them out?" and phew finding our agreement was much easier than i thought {he's going to eat the number of pieces of his age = 9 which i'm ok with} making our plan in advance save frustrations upsets + misbehavior on both our parts on halloween night here's some info on curiosity questions fall + winter are also the seasons i love to write the happy home method ebook is well underway + i can't wait to share more with you soon! what about you? what do you love about this season? and how can you slow down and enjoy it? Happy Halloween Week |
Mama Megan
Hi friends, I write from the heart to tell my life story, and the story of those in my neighborhood called life. Research shows that our children's emotional & mental health is contingent upon us parents being able to tell our life story, or "coherent narrative." This is my coherent narrative, my life story in the making, with some of what I love in life too. My goal is to share my life in a way that is real, uplifting & positive- sometimes serious, sometimes fun. In my practice, I inspire parents to empowerment through reclaiming our life stories and learning respectful discipline. My work is my offering to our children- our future. Wishing you all a happy family! Archives
