how do we set up a holiday season where children don't beg for consumer items and we can focus on the higher values of the holiday season? there is just something about begging + whining for toys during the holidays that defeats the purpose of the entire.holiday.season i love to give gifts + i love children to find joy in both giving + receiving one of the challenges of the holiday season can be children's intense focus on toys while this can be triggering for any parent try to remember: our children are merely a reflection of the larger societal values how to handle the consumer focus in our kids this season? here's a 3 step process to minimize the consumer focus this season + up the focus on the higher values of the season p.s. disappointment may be a part of the holidays so please remember developing our children's disappointment muscles with empathy + a focus on what's most important is a wonderful opportunity You Got This less consumer focus + more higher values focus of the holidays.

Hi friends, I write from the heart to tell my life story, and the story of those in my neighborhood called life. Research shows that our children's emotional & mental health is contingent upon us parents being able to tell our life story, or "coherent narrative." This is my coherent narrative, my life story in the making, with some of what I love in life too. My goal is to share my life in a way that is real, uplifting & positive- sometimes serious, sometimes fun. In my practice, I inspire parents to empowerment through reclaiming our life stories and learning respectful discipline. My work is my offering to our children- our future. Wishing you all a happy family! Archives
