when i was a kid i loved to dust i'd stay home sick from school by the afternoon i was always dusting it was the way to make my crazy home calmer prettier to bring my little bit of peace to my world it's been a hard week just normal stuff like my car needing work back to school then single mom stuff like trying to navigate relations with men in the tinder area which managed to trigger some father scars i haven't felt in a long time {if you're happily married, thank your lucky stars and go give your mate some love right now} then yesterday my son's grandma passed away which leaves my son with no living blood grandparent all of his grandparents dead before the age of 65 leaving this planet with a lot of suffering finally at rest life's been heavy maybe in your life too? so i dusted a lot this weekend and danced too back in the day when i first moved to portland when i payed $350 for a one bedroom on hawthorne i used to work at the old body moves dance studio on sundays you could go sweat your prayers dance out all the craziness from your week + begin anew with dancing like crazy in a beautiful ballroom in downtown p-town the 2018 incarnation of sweat your prayers is this dance circle life is no bowl of cherries it down-right stinks sometimes there's no escaping the hard stuff but you don't want the hard stuff living inside you either we don't want to hold onto to it this is why we're in a mental health crisis these days because there's so much trauma + pain and we've forgetten we can let it go no need to store that stinky stuff inside of you gotta know the ways you let it go for me dusting + dancing help me let the hard stuff go i'm here to have a good life and so are you in order to maintain the balance so the good outweighs the crazy hard you gotta move it thru to maintain your homeostasis the goodness of you exemplified this week i sweated my prayers in dance dusted my life anew what about you? what do you do to move the crazy hard stuff thru to be you to the most positive You Got This.

Mama Megan
Hi friends, I write from the heart to tell my life story, and the story of those in my neighborhood called life. Research shows that our children's emotional & mental health is contingent upon us parents being able to tell our life story, or "coherent narrative." This is my coherent narrative, my life story in the making, with some of what I love in life too. My goal is to share my life in a way that is real, uplifting & positive- sometimes serious, sometimes fun. In my practice, I inspire parents to empowerment through reclaiming our life stories and learning respectful discipline. My work is my offering to our children- our future. Wishing you all a happy family! Archives
