like water under the bridge parenting teaching + life throws us all sorts of crazy stuff we get to choose do we hang onto it do we get angry do we try to control it repressing it all of these choices enlarge + magnify the negativity til we're swimming in a negative life what if the hard stuff in life was simply water under the bridge neutralized... trying times pain wrongdoing stress negative experiences neutralized... so they hurt us no longer so we can step into the new into the now with a pure heart brave & sweet all at once we are sounds great right? so how do we get there one step in the positive direction the tool of Quit Taking it Personally so the negative in life becomes like water under the bridge whether it's big people or little people the never-ending dishes or laundry it's easy to feel like problems + challenges are intentional like people like life are somehow out to get us when really everyone is doing the best they can with the tools they have when really challenges mistakes mess-ups misbehavior are all part of the masterplan of life to help us grow + evolve so next time life flares up in your face whether it's the kids your co-workers the household chores just remember we're all in this together we're all doing the best we can with the tools we have no one is out to get us we're all walking this imperfect road of life of parenting together this week when the negative crops up in your life maybe even exploding in your face take that deep breath consciously toss that challenge out into the river of life so like water under the bridge it's no longer your problem your responsibility to hold you've QTIP'ed it brave & sweet your heart leads the way back to the now fresh & new you've risen up on the high road life will meet you there You Got This.p.s. Mama Megan
Hi friends, I write from the heart to tell my life story, and the story of those in my neighborhood called life. Research shows that our children's emotional & mental health is contingent upon us parents being able to tell our life story, or "coherent narrative." This is my coherent narrative, my life story in the making, with some of what I love in life too. My goal is to share my life in a way that is real, uplifting & positive- sometimes serious, sometimes fun. In my practice, I inspire parents to empowerment through reclaiming our life stories and learning respectful discipline. My work is my offering to our children- our future. Wishing you all a happy family! Archives
