did you have a big week? everyone i talked to - from friends + family to parents in our community and baristas + people at the store- said how intense + busy life is right now i been feeling it as i wrap up my 8 years of grad school spent crying + growing as i develop my parenting empowerment program to prevent child abuse gah, this week i've literally been dealing with every doubt insecurity + fear i've ever had but this time has also gifted me with the wisdom-tools to get me thru to get to the other side of my pain --- and access some serious goodness in life here's what i been learning to get us thru to come out stronger than ever when life is hard we can run try to hide but that's no way to live pain + hard times are part of life our kids fall down we move cross-country our loved ones pass away oppression happens we all are dealing with our own hard days + pain in life we are one in our pain as well as our joy pain takes over when it festers when we don't know what to do when hard times become a way of life feeling my pain thinking about your hard times all makes me wanna go to bed +cry which can be part of the process but we can't live from our bed at some point we gotta do something with our pain what can we do? expressing is the #1 way to integrate our pain so we feel the power + seriousness of our pain but don't live there forever what to do? depends on what you love... write a poem do some art talk to a friend get out in nature dance it out walk it out make a bouquet of flowers take your pain and turn it into something positive the art of you believe its possible to express your pain into some serious power to help you get to the other side then... even tho i wish we never felt pain pain has its purpose something to teach us #1 way to learn + grow be amazed at how strong you are have compassion for humanity get clear on what is most important appreciate the happy times laugh with friends at how crazy hard life can be and remember..... we all experience hard times + pain in life. you're not alone... Wishing you all the positive amazing goodness
that can come from your hard times. We got your back, always.

Mama Megan
Hi friends, I write from the heart to tell my life story, and the story of those in my neighborhood called life. Research shows that our children's emotional & mental health is contingent upon us parents being able to tell our life story, or "coherent narrative." This is my coherent narrative, my life story in the making, with some of what I love in life too. My goal is to share my life in a way that is real, uplifting & positive- sometimes serious, sometimes fun. In my practice, I inspire parents to empowerment through reclaiming our life stories and learning respectful discipline. My work is my offering to our children- our future. Wishing you all a happy family! Archives
